Dear All,

The following are in reverse-chronological order, with the newest at the top...

Highly suggest reading the "COMMENTS" on these pages. Very entertaining!

The Boston Globe "Your Town" Melrose February 3, 2011
Boston Globe / Your Town / Melrose: Melrose couple marks 586 nights in tent and counting

The UTNE Reader September 28, 2010
UTNE Reader: Couple Camp Out in Their Backyard for a Year

The Sydney Morning Herald on October 3rd, 2010
Sydney Morning Herald: Happy campers off with the fairies at the end of the garden

Spiritually-oriented article in the UU World magazine...
uuworld.org : couple makes backyard camping a lifestyle
Jun 14, 2010 ... Terri and Josh Shortlidge, members of the Melrose (Mass.) Unitarian Universalist Church, have been sleeping in a tent for almost a year. ...

Terri wrote a 1,500 word love story, The Perfect Night.

Here is a scan that I made of the "paper version" of the first article, which appeared in the Boston Globe Magazine, on March 14th.

Sadly this article focuses only on me, not Terri too, as the article is placed in the "First Person" interview section of the Magazine.
Then here is the link to the same exact article, but to the online version,
http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/magazine/articles/2010/03/14/the_backyardigans/
complete with 31 pretty outrageous blog "comments".

Then not quite a month later, on April 8th, the following feature article appeared on the front page of the "Globe North" section of the paper.
http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2010/04/08/one_night_of_backyard_camping_has_become_a_way_of_life_for_melrose_couple/
and, then there are 48 blog comments on that aticle.

IMPORTANT: Terri and I are pushing all of this promotion with the help of the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), and for the benefit of their "Great American Backyard Campout", this coming June 26, 2010.

We have just enjoyed our experience sooooh much, that we just hope to spark a few other people into just trying it for even one night.

The NWF will be publishing more about our adventure...

Then, saving the best for last, here are our ongoing tweets on Twitter... you gotta meet our tent-mate T Wolf!
